Writing Challenge!

1. Click on the link to view the picture of a setting:

2. On paper, brainstorm adjectives, verbs, adverbs and onomatopoeia to do with setting (like we did in class).

3. Write a paragraph (maximum 5 sentences) describing this setting and post it!

4. Remember to have a catchy title, interesting beginning and end with a hook! See if you can include some similes and metaphors.

We will choose the three best paragraphs and vote for the best one. The winner will get 10 points!!!

You have until Friday to get your paragraphs posted. Happy Writing! :D

    WOOSH! The wind howeled.The wind was shifting side to side.CRUSH!The rain went, when were howling like wolfs. Thunder roared. The lights blinked .....................BAM!!! electriciete was cut of!

    On a cloudy day I was walking on the street when suddenly is started raining.So I started running through the rain.Then I tried finding shelter but NO LUCK !!! So I kept running through the heavy rain still no luck.But then I saw something.Do you know what I saw ?

    WOOSH!the wind flew,and the rain burning down,like giants stomping evrywhere.I ran as quickly as I could.Suddenly there was a big noise what was that I said.The noise is still going for a reason.I wonder why do you know what that sound is.

  5. cold shifting day
    DRIP DRIP DROP!!! as the rain drops fell on my face.I felt wet and cold,as cold as Antarctica's chill. SPLASH! as I ran through the puddles of fallen raindrops.Freezing frosty flakes drops fell fluttering from the sky.I walked into the cold chilly alleyway, and then i knew something was wrong....

    SPLASH! It was a very wet rainy day. It was like the sun had disappeared into another planet. CRACK! the rain started turning into hail. Then I went outside. Then all that was left was hail in the city.

    Splat! it was a pouring day.The sun vanished like the universe ate it. When I went outside I felt the wind race across me.I felt like I was trapped in ice.Then suddenly something happened do you know.

  10. A Beautiful Rainy Day
    WOW! look at that awesome rainbow! did you know that if you mix rain and sunshine it can make a rainbow? DRIP! DROP! DRIP! DROP! rain is falling in my ears (it tickles.) WHOOSH! I see a little girl floating a small paper boat to sail in the water.The boat started sailing far away and then it got caught in a whirpool of water and was just about to capsize just then the little girl's palm reached in time and saved the boat. oh! what fun it was to watch, oh! what fun it would be if the little girl there was ME ...don't you agree?

  11. RAIN IN THE CITY
    My figers were ice burgs and i felt like i had a brain freze.the rain was peltering down as my heart was beating fast.suddnly THUNDER came BOOM BAM and purple lightning ahhh it was nail bighting.When i got home i was soaking wet as my head dripped my mum told me off this was a bad day but somthing made it worse...

  16. DRIP! The rain drops into sparkly puddles. I feel really cold like ice cubes stuck to my fingers. I hold my jacket close to my skin to make me warm. It's like houses surrounding me blocking the sunny day. It's like swishing water that I'm walking on. Then I lost my balance...do you know what happened?
